Erste: Romania could have the highest economic growth in the region

Romania could have the highest economic growth among the countries in Central and Eastern Europe this year, with a GDP increase of 4.1%, according Austrian bank Erste Group’s analysts.

The average growth in the region will amount to 3.1% in 2016 whereas in the Eurozone the GDP will go up by 1.6%.

Poland’s economy will grow by 3.6%, and Slovakia will come next with 3.5%. In Hungary, the economic growth will slow down to 2.2% whereas in the Czech Republic the GDP will increase by 2.5%.

Slovenia’s economy will grow by 1.9% whereas the GDP in Serbia will go up by 1.5%.
