EU funds generate 2.9% increase in Romania's exports
The volume of exports were 2.9% higher last year due to the absorption of European funds compared to what they would have been if Romania didn’t benefit from EU financing, according to the National Prognosis Commission (CNP).
The EU funds’ contribution to Romania’s exports reached 3% in 2014 and 2% in 2013, reports local Agerpres.
Romania’s GDP would have been 10.6% lower in the absence of European money, according to CNP.
The investment growth, determined by the EU funds, reached a maximum level of 25.6% in 2014.
