"Europe is younger in Bucharest" is the phrase to promote the Romanian capital city’s tourism potential, proposed by Detente Consultants, the consultant contracted by the Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism (MDRT) to achieve the tourism marketing plan for Bucharest, from 2011 to 2015.

Tourist development in Bucharest should be focused on business and city-break tourism, according to the analysis presented Monday during the meeting organized by MDTR. The specialists say that Bucharest should be recommended as a dynamic city, growing different from other capitals, offering more and more cultural, artistic and sports events.

The consultant recommended more development paths for tourism in Bucharest, according to MDTR. The most important thing for tourism is to create a tourism office of Bucharest that will have the central role in implementing the strategy.

Following discussions, the consultant will finalize the marketing plan until the end of this month, according to MDTR.
