Eurostat: Romania's new orders in industry up 12.5% in August

Romania recorded the seventh increase of new industrial orders in August this year over the same month in 2010, of 12.5 percent, according to Eurostat. Compared to the previous month, Romania reported a growth of 2 percent in August.

Year-on-year, the industrial new orders went up by 6.2 percent in the euro area, and by 6.5 percent in EU27. The largest increases in industrial new orders have been recorded in Estonia, up 41.1 percent, Bulgaria, up 25.3 percent and Lithuania, up 19.3 percent.

Compared to the previous month, the industrial new orders reported an advance of 1.9 percent in the euro area, and 0.4 percent in EU27.
