Exhibitions, experiments, and conferences at Bucharest Science Festival this week
The Bucharest Science Festival, one of the biggest events dedicated to science in Romania, kicked off on September 27 and will end on October 3. This year's edition includes a series of special events dedicated to green cities.
The festival is organized by the Romanian Secular-Humanist Association and Planet Science, with the support of the French Institute and under the High Patronage of the Romanian President.
The science festival, which takes place in Bucharest, Rasnov, and Adjud, will include several events aimed at bringing Romanians closer to science, such as exhibitions, experiments and demonstrations, and conferences and debates.
For example, the French Institute in Bucharest hosts a special photo exhibition called Delta Bucuresti, while Bucharest’s newest shopping center ParkLake hosts today an exhibition called Technology for law enforcement forces.
Conferences and debates on different topics are also scheduled to take place at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, the Academy of Economic Studies, Antipa Museum, Seneca Anticafe, and the Humanitas Library located close to Cismigiu Park.
Some of the most interesting events in the experiments and demonstrations category are Kids’ Lab: The workshop of small chemists (September 29-39, at the Polytechnic University), and Researchers' Night at Antipa Museum (September 30, at Antipa Museum).
Moreover, in the How it works? category, the participants can visit the labs of the National Scientific Research Centre for Food Safety, discover the Baneasa Forest, visit the labs of PRECIS automatic research center, and take a tour of the Vacaresti Natural Park.
Workshops, film screenings, and exhibitions will also be organized at the Science Days in Rasnov and Adjud.
