Expats complain about lack of infrastructure in Bucharest's Pipera area

15 September 2014

Foreigners who come to Romania to run the local subsidiaries of multinationals complain about the lack of infrastructure, especially in the Pipera residential area. There are expats who drive their kids to school, even if the school is nearby home, just because the school entry is close to the Bucharest ring road, and there are no sidewalks, according to Gandul newspaper.

Expats love the people, love the food, but hate the infrastructure. Many who have children cannot use the stroller because there are no sidewalks in some parts of the Pipera area. Meanwhile, the Primaverii and Aviatorilor areas are preferred by young expats in top and middle management positions, who do not have children, according to the local newspaper.
