Exports grow in four months, top 100 exporters cover half of the volume

Automobile Dacia, Nokia Romania, Rompetrol Rafinare, ArcelorMittal Galati and OMV Petrom were the main exporters from Romania in the first four months of the year, when Romanian exports found a way our of recession, according to data from the National Association of Exporters and Importers (ANEIR).

The first 100 exporters based on volumes covered half of the country's exports, which amounted to EUR 10.8 billion in total, up from EUR 8.76 billion in the same period of 2009. Out of the 100 companies, only four of them are still Romanian only - Oltchim, Hidroelectrica, Interagro and Compa Sibiu. The rest of them are multinationals.

During the first four months of the year, the top of exporters included companies like Petrotel-Lukoil, Renault Industrie Roumanie, Honeywell Tehnologies, Continental Automotive Product and Autoliv Romania, Lisa Draxlmayer Autopart Romania, Alro, Daewoo Mangalia, Heavy Industries, Takata-Petri Romania and Schaeffler Romania.
