EY: Romanian entrepreneurs prefer simpler tax rules to tax cuts
About 60% of the Romanian entrepreneurs consider that simplifying tax rules and regulations for the calculation of tax liabilities would have a greater impact on improving the fiscal environment in Romania than a cut in taxes.
Only 14% of the entrepreneurs believe that cutting the taxes on corporate profits would improve Romania’s tax collection, according to the EY study “Entrepreneurs speak - Romanian Entrepreneurship Barometer.”
Some 11% of the respondents consider that setting up a government agency that would assist new companies in complying with tax requirements would also help improve the tax environment.
