Father of blues movement John Mayall comes to Bucharest for concert
John Mayall, the father of the blues movement in Great Britain will be in Bucharest on November 11 this year for a concert at Sala Palatului.
Mayall, with a career spanning over 50 years, is a singer and composer and plays several instruments. He began his career at the end of the 60 in London as John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers.
Guitarists Eric Clapton, Peter Green and Mick Taylo joined the band in the middle of the 60, before singing with Cream, Fleewood Mac and The Rolling Stones.
In 1969, John launched the classic acoustic live album ”The Tourning Point” and over the years he launched more than 50 albums that became reference points in rock blues: “Behind the Iron Curtain”, “Chicago Line”, “A sense of Place”, “Wake up Call”( Grammy Awards) and “Tough” in 2009.
The tickets for the concert in Bucharest cost RON 75, 100, 150, 200, 250 and 300 according to the category and can be bought online on bilete.ro.
