Female skydivers land downtown Bucharest at the end of June
The best women skydivers in Romania will take part in the first parachute competition in Bucharest on June 30, starting at 10.00, in Izvor Park in the Romanian capital.
Viewers will have the opportunity to see overlapping group skydiving from the National Skydiving Team and follow Alexandru Nicolau, the world champion for skydiving for fixed landing.
The Bucharest event, called Red Bull Smaranda Order is a fixed landing competition dedicated to the first female skydiver in Romania, Smaranda Braescu, who held multiple national and world records. The event in the park will be the first aviation event held downtown Bucharest. The entry to this event is free.
This discipline of skydiving, landing at a fixed point, involves the release the skydivers from a height of about 1,500 meters; landing must be made on a circle of 1 m.
