Film music concert in Bucharest to feature electric cello virtuoso Tina Guo and works by Hans Zimmer

A world premiere of an epic production of film music with orchestra and musicians, lasers, lights, choreography and pyrotechnics, will be on March 23, 19:00, at Sala Palatului, Bucharest. Electric cello star Tina Guo (in picture) will be making an appearance as a special guest.

The show, called The Masterpiece, includes music by film composers such as Hans Zimmer, John Williams, Thomas Bergersen, Gerard Marino, Guy Farley and Ivan Torrent, performed by the Bucharest Symphony Orchestra. Music from movies such as The Tree of Life, Out of Africa, God of War, Gladiator, Dracula, Sherlock Holmes, Modigliani, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Da Vinci Code, Inception, Dark Knight Trilogy will be performed in over two-hour live show.

Virtuoso US cellist Tina Guo has made a name for herself with her innovative genre busting use of the electric cello. She has played on soundtracks for Iron Man 2, Sherlock Holmes, Inception, Diablo III, Call of Duty, CSI: NY, and worked with wide range of artists, including Hans Zimmer, Carlos Santana, Kelly Clarkson and many others. Tina Guo has played as a soloist with symphonic orchestras, such as the San Diego Orchestra on the traditional acoustic cello, as well as with progressive metal band Off the Deep End.

Ciprian Costin, a young Romanian musician working in the United States, will be appearing  as a special guest. He is a a composer, conductor and pianist and holds several international prizes in piano competitions and composition.

The tickets can be purchased on www.myticket.ro with prices from RON 50 to RON 300, depending on the category. The program of the concert and other information can be found on www.themasterpiece.ro.
