Film screenings for Romanian students to start in February within Cinema Edu project

04 February 2014

Students from 80 schools in Bucharest and in seven other localities in Romania will watch feature – length movies screened at various events halls between February and June this year. This is part of a cinema education program which is set to kick off on February 24 and 25.

The first screenings will start on February 24 at the New Cinema of the Romanian Director and at the Italian Culture Institute Vito Grasso, with Bernardo Bertolucci's film Io e Te/Me and you.

The next day, on February 25, the Cervantes Institute will screen Bila/ El Bola.

The screenings are part of the project Cinema-Edu, managed by the association Macondo. Screenings are accompanied by a guide for discussion and analysis for teachers and students, so that the cinematic debate can continue in the classroom as well.

Apart from Bucharest, venues in Topliţa, Corabia, Caracal, Moineşti, Moreni, Târgovişte and Slobozia will also host screenings for school students.
