A vegetation fire broke out in the Vacaresti Delta in Bucharest on April 5, affecting an area of ​​several hectares. It was extinguished by the end of the day.

The area affected by the fire is about 15,000 square meters.

"There are no injured people. It is a fire with intense manifestation. The dry vegetation in the area of ​​the park and the Vacaresti Delta is burning," Daniel Vasile, spokesman for the Bucharest-Ilfov Emergency Situations Inspectorate, said when the fire broke out, Wall-street.ro reported.

Vacaresti Nature Park, also known as Vacaresti Delta, is a nature park in Bucharest, Romania, containing the wetlands surrounding Lake Vacaresti. Having 190 hectares, the area where the park stands was part of a large swampy area on the outskirts of Bucharest.
