Artmark's first auction for 2013 will feature a selection of 100 representative artworks by significant Romanian painters at the Romanian Important Art, Contemporary and Post-modern Auction at the Athenee Palace Hilton Bucharest on Wednesday January 30 at 19:00.

An exhibition of the works up for auction will be held between January 18 and 21 at Brasov and Sinaia, where artworks by artists such as Nicolae Grigorescu, Ronitza, Petrascu, Cumpana, Vermont, Dărăscu, Ciucurencu, Câlţia, Baba and Bălaşa can be viewed at Aro Palace Brasov Hotel on January 18, 09:00 - 21:00 (private viewing) and Saturday, January 19 from 10:00 to 21:00 (public exhibition). In Sinaia, the exhibition can be visited Sunday, January 20 and Monday, January 21, from 10:00 - 22:00, at Hotel International.

Some of the paintings in the auction  are Venetiana (in picture) by Nicolae Tonitza, with the work valued at EUR 80,000 to 150,000, Mioare/Sheep, by Nicolae Grigorescu, with a value estimated at EUR 25,000-45,000 and Femei in parc/Women in Park by Ioan Andreescu with a value estimated at EUR 80,000-150,000.
