First tickets for Sibiu International Theater Festival in Romania now on sale
The first tickets for 50 performances in the program of the Sibiu International Theater Festival are now on sale. The event takes place between June 9 and June 18.
The first batch of tickets are for performances taking place in indoor spaces, be they theater, dance, contemporary circus, music, film screenings, exhibitions, book launches, reading performances, workshops and more.
Tickets cost between RON 10 and RON 40 (EUR 2.2-8.8) and can be purchased at eventim.ro or at the Radu Stanca Theater Agency in Sibiu.
The program of the festival is available here.
The organizers of the festival say another batch will go on sale around the Easter holidays, and the rest at the beginning of May.
“We don’t have spaces with a capacity larger than 400 seats, so they are small spaces, some of only 200 seats. The theater itself only has 300 seats, and with so many guests we will not be able to sell more than 200 tickets. So all those who want to buy tickets and see from Baryshnikov to Robert Wilson, from Batsheva to the Andalusia Ballet, from Maria Pagés to Pippo Delbono and many more, are invited to buy tickets in advance,” said Constantin Chiriac, the president of the festival.
The Sibiu International Theater Festival takes place under the theme of Love. Besides theater, dance, music and contemporary circus performances, the festival will bring to the public’s attention various film screenings, exhibitions, book launches, conferences, reading-performances, held in both conventional and unconventional spaces and on the main streets of the city of Sibiu. Some 500 performances and events are scheduled for the ten days of the festival.
