First Calzedonia store in Romania to open on May 12
The Calzedonia brand will enter the Romanian market on May 12, with a first store on Magheru boulevard in capital city Bucharest. This first Calzedonia store covers around 100 sqm and is operated by local company Futura Lenjerie, which will develop the franchise network in Romania.
"The retailer has chosen for its first store in Romania a street location because it corresponds to its expansion policy, which aims to open the first store in a space with good visibility, in a well-known commercial area. Development plan sfor the next two years include opening more stores in Bucharest, in the first place, and in established commercial centers. After this the expansion plan, other big cities in Romania will be targeted,” said Manu Valentin, manager of high street retail for Cushman&Wakefield Romania, which intermediated the lease for the first store.
Calzedonia, founded in 1987 in Italy, is a clothing retailer which sells clothes for women, men and children. Calzedonia's network has over 1,300 stores worldwide in countries like Austria, Russia, Portugal, Turkey and England.
