The Suter Palace, the only luxury hotel in Romania classified at five stars plus, will open in Bucharest in September.

The hotel will be managed by Razvan Pirjol, president of the Bucharest Tourism Board.

The Suter Palace was built at the beginning of the 20th century as a residence of Swiss architect Gustav Suter, who designed the Carol Park in Bucharest. It is located close to the park. The hotel has 17 guest rooms and apartments.

The palace first opened as a luxury hotel in 2007 as Carol Park Hotel. Celebrities such as Beyonce, Nicholas Cage, Deep Purple and Enrique Iglesias have been among its guests.

The hotel is currently owned by an investor from Timisoara.
