Insurance company Grawe Romania recently launched an insurance policy for bicycles, which compensates owners in case of theft or robbery, which is a premiere on the Romanian market. The insurance product will be available through insurance brokers.

Grawe came with this product saying that more and more Romanians are buying bikes, but also many bike owners are victims of thefts, with very small chances of recovering their bikes. Grawe has been offering such insurance policies in Austria for many years.
