The first snow of the season fell in the Fagaras mountains, at Balea Lac, where it snowed for 24 hours until Thursday morning. The layer of snow reached 10 centimeters at an altitude of over 2,000 meters.

Temperatures during the day went down to 2-3 degrees Celsius, going under zero degrees during the night. The snow shower is expected to stop on Thursday afternoon, when meteorologists expect heavy wind in the mountains area. The weather forecast is set to improve starting Friday.
