Fiscal controls in Romania bring a quarter more cash registers to the market
The number of cash registers in Romania increased by 24.32% in the first three months of 2015 year-on-year.
Romania’s Tax Authority ANAF believes this was due to better-informed taxpayers and to the control activities the Anti-Fraud Department carried out during this period.
In the first quarter of 2014, the state registered 22,329 cash registers. By comparison, the number of cash registers increased by 5,441 units in the first three months of 2015, when they amounted to 27,740 units.
The improved collection is an essential condition for fiscal easing, according to ANAF.
