Fiscal searches into wealthy Romanians
The Fiscal Administration Office ANAF has started inspections for people with large wealth, which had tens of millions of euros in difference between the value of their wealth and the value resulted based on the paid taxes, according to Mediafax.
After previous similar searches, ANAF has seen an increase in the number of people who declare revenues from other sources, such as dividends abroad.
By the end of the year, ANAF will create regional inspection directions, and select 200 of its employees to set up these structures. These regional divisions should conduct cross-county searches, so that inspectors in a county search large wealth in another county.
