Fitch downgrades Bucharest’s ratings to ‘BBB-'
US rating agency Fitch Ratings has downgraded Bucharest’s long-term local currency debt rating to ‘BBB-' from 'BBB', with a stable outlook.
Bucharest's ratings are constrained by the country's rating, and Fitch recently downgraded Romania’s long-term local currency debt rating to 'BBB-’. The US agency will update Bucharest’s ratings in December 2016 when it will publish its sovereign, local and regional governments ratings for 2017.
The agency has also confirmed the 'BBB-' rating for Brasov, and has revised its outlook for the city from “positive” to “stable”.
