Five dead in Romania after alleged drugged driver smashes into bus stop
An alleged drugged driver smashed into a bus stop in Braila, a town in eastern Romania, killing five people, on Monday morning, April 4. The surveillance cameras in the area recorded the terrible accident.
The film shows how a dark blue Renault Megane goes the wrong way, almost hitting two cars, before losing direction and smashing into the bus refuge. Five people were killed on the spot and another one was injured.
The driver, a 27-year old man, was also injured and the emergency crew took him to the hospital. The tests performed on him came back positive for cannabis, amphetamines, and benzodiazepines, according to medical sources quoted by Mediafax.
The man was also suspected of epilepsy, according to local website infobraila.ro.
