Flamaropol skating rink in Bucharest to be replaced by biggest sports hall in Romania

The Flamaropol skating rink in Bucharest will be demolished ans replaced by a sports hall of 16,000 seats, according to Romania's Regional Development and Tourism Minister Elena Udrea. The investment in the new hall will be of EUR 50 million and will be carried on through the National Investments Company. The skating rink is located near the National Park in Bucharest, on the Basarabia boulevard, close to the new national stadium.. The current Bucharest sports hall, located in Tineretului Park, was opened in 1974 and has 6,000 seats.
