Romanian electro-IT retailer Flanco opens first store in Kaufland hypermarket
Romanian electro-IT retailer Flanco and food retailer Kaufland Romania launched the first shop-in-shop concept in their networks. Thus, the Kaufland store in Targu Jiu will host a 350-sqm Flanco shop.
The Kaufland store in Târgu Jiu has an area of approximately 6,350 sqm.
This concept shop is part of a project that will be developed in other Kaufland stores in Romania. The concept involves combining two stores in the same commercial space, each operating separately, as independent stores.
One of the most important advantages of a shop-in-shop project, especially in the current context of the pandemic, is the possibility of combining two stores (food and non-food) to limit time spent shopping.
Kaufland is the biggest retailer in Romania in terms of turnover and operates a network of 133 stores.
Flanco is the second-biggest local electro-IT retailer, with a network of 156 shops.
