Foreign direct investments up by 23% in Romania
Foreign direct investments to Romania amounted to EUR 299 million in January, up 23% year-on-year.
Compared to December 2014, investments however went slightly down.
Of the EUR 299 million, the capital sharing (including the estimated net profit) recorded EUR 178 million, whereas the intra-group loans amounted to EUR 121 million, according to the Romanian National Bank.
In December 2014, the foreign direct investments amounted to EUR 304 million.
Foreign direct investments dropped last year by 10.6% over 2013, to EUR 2.43 billion.
In November last year, investments peaked to some EUR 531 million, followed by investments in May, at EUR 306 million.
