Foreigners volunteer in Romania’s eco farms
Young foreigners have started to come to Romania as volunteers in eco farms, where they works in exchange for accommodation and food.
Foreigners wants to learn Romania’s traditions, as well as meet people in the village. So it happens at the Topa farm in Sighisoara, where two French students are currently helping the owners around the 35-hectare farm, according to Digi24.ro.
The two French volunteers plan to stay for two weeks, but a German girl, Lydia, plans to stay for the summer.
The Topa farm only welcomes 30 volunteers a year, but gets about 100 requests. Romania has 30 Transylvania farms in the network of ecology farms all across the globe which accept volunteers.
