Romania has become a true 'factory' for websites for the rest of Europe, said the former British Ambassador to Romania Martin Harris upon his departure.

Attending a TV show on ProTV – Dupa 20 de ani/20 years after, Harris spoke about the 16 percent annual increase rate in trade between Romania and UK, with IT being one of the hot areas.

“Unfortunately, the opportunities that exist here in Romania are not that well understood in UK,” said the former ambassador, who will move on to his new mission in Moscow. British companies are using their Romanian offices and partners to create websites for banks in the London City, or for football clubs in Premier League, said Harris.
