A former development director of GDF Suez in Romania, Tanguy Moulin-Fournier, was kidnapped together with his wife and four kids from Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon. The family had been living there for the last two years, with Tanguy Moulin-Fournier still working for GDF Suez. Cameroon authorities confirmed that the kidnappers and the hostages are now in Nigeria, according to Le Parisien.

Moulin-Fournier has been working on a project to liquefy natural gas for GDF Suez in the south of Cameroon.

Prior to moving to Cameroon, he had worked in Romania, between 2006 and 2008, as business development director, then went on to become head of strategy for South – Eastern Europe until 2010, and then vice-president of strategy until 2011, when he moved with his family to Yaoundé.

The kidnappers have not yet sent any message to his family nor to his employer on a potential ransom or the reason for having kidnapped the six.
