Cristina Popescu, the former communication manager with telecom company Romtelecom, is the new head of corporate communication with Danone for Romania, Bulgaria and Greece, Danone announced.

She moved to Danone after working with Romtelecom for the last eight years.

An Economic Studies Academy graduate, Popescu also holds a certificate in the management of change from Henley Business School. Prior to joining Romtelecom, she worked with the Communication Ministry and with the Romanian Press Club.

Danone posted a turnover of over EUR 111 million in 2011 in Romania, an increase on the previous year. The whole group posted sales of EUR 19 billion worldwide during the same year.
