Former Sanofi Romania head Dan Ivan moves to Actavis to become country manager

Icelandic pharmaceutical company has recently appointed Dan Ivan to lead its Romanian subsidiary, replacing Alina Cucea, who will become the deputy country manager. Cucea will also be directly responsible for the business support functions, such as human resources, communications, legal, governmental relations.

Dan Ivan has 18 years of experience in the pharma industry, having spent 16 years with Sanofi-Zentiva.

Ivan left the company in September this year and was replaced by Jacques Nathan, the head of Sanofi's operations in Bulgaria.

Actavis runs Actavis Sales/Marketing and Sindan Pharma/Actavis Operations units in Romania. The latter produces oncology drugs and is also responsible for exporting them on external markets. The two companies have 380 employees in Romania.
