Former World Class Romania country manager appointed operations manager of Stejarii Country Club in Bucharest

Mihai Popa (in picture), the former country manager of World Class Romania, has been appointed operations manager of Stejarii Country Club.

Set to open this fall, the club is an EUR 18 million leisure complex developed by Romanian businessman Ion Tiriac in Baneasa forest, northern Bucharest.

Popa, 33, graduated from the Academy of Physical Education and Sport, physiotherapy department, and attended several communication and customer service courses.

He also worked in the hotel industry, having collaborated with Athenee Palace Hilton, JW Marriott and Radisson Blu Bucharest.

Built on an area of around 22,000 smq, the complex offers access to a wide range of facilities, such as fitness, swimming pools, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, squash courts, a jogging track, relaxation areas and SPA.
