Four consortia submit offers for Drumul Taberei – Hasdeu metro line
Six consortia have been pre-selected for the construction of the Drumul Taberei – Hasdeu metro line and four of them submitted final offers. The winning consortium will be chosen in the first part of 2011, according to Bucharest metro company Metrorex.
Greek Aktor, the consortium made of Astaldi- FCC- Delta ACM - AB Construct, the consortium made of Strabag – Straco and the consortium made of Dogus - Gulermak- Moscovskii Metrostroi have all submitted offers to build the metro line. The highest financial offer came from Strabag – Straco, some EUR 453 million, while Dogus - Gulermak- Moscovskii Metrostroi submitted an offer of RON 1 billion (around EUR 233 million), close to the offer made by Greek Aktor. The lowest financial offer came from Astaldi- FCC- Delta ACM - AB Construct, some EUR 214 million.
Two other companies which had been pre-selected, PORR-Technobau and Max Bogl did not submit final offers.
Works on the resistance structure, tunnels and stations will take 2.6 years and, after the installations will also be in place, the new metro line could become usable in around five years, according to Metrorex.
Financing for this line, which includes funds for acquiring 21 trains, comes from a European Investment Bank (EIB) loan of EUR 395. The rest of the amount, EUR 800 million, will come from the state budget. The new metro line will be 9 kilometers long and the connection between Drumul Taberei Bucharest neighborhood and Universitate will have 14 stations.
