Four earthquakes in Vrancea, Romania with magnitudes between 2.6 and 3.4
Four earthquakes occurred during Sunday (August 5 ), in the Vrancea area of Romania, with magnitudes between 2.6 and 3.4 on the Richter scale, according to the National Institute for Earth Physics. There have been no reports of damage to structures or injuries resulting from the small earthquakes.
The first quake occurred at 03:02, had a magnitude of 3.4 and occurred at a depth of 118 km. The second measured 2.6 on the Richter scale, with an epicenter at a depth of 114 km and struck at 05:13.
At 17:54, at a depth of 133 kilometers, a further magnitude 3 quake was recorded, while at 19:14 a final quake measuring 3 on the Richter scale occurred at a depth of 108 kilometers.
