Four medals for Romania at Central European Olympiad in Informatics

Romania received four medals, two gold, a silver and a bronze at the Central European Olympiad in Informatics (CEOI) recently organized in Jena, Germany.

The two gold medals were won by Andrei Heidelbacher and Rares-Darius Buhai, while the silver medal went to Alexandru Velea. Romanian student Radu Szasz won the bronze medal, according to a statement of the Romanian Ministry of Education.

The 21st edition of CEOI attracted 38 participants from 10 countries. According to the regulations, each state can have a team of four members, aged under 19. The first edition of CEOI was held in Romania in 1994, in Cluj-Napoca.
