French group Faurecia opens new factory in Romania
Faurecia, a French manufacturer of car components, will open a new factory in Romania at the end of this month, reports local Profit.ro.
The plant will be located in Cateasca, Arges county. The group has another factory there, opened last year, which employs about 500 workers.
Faurecia is partially owned by the Peugeot Citroen group. It entered the local market in 2003 and owns factories in Talmaciu, Craiova, and Pitesti, as well as in Ramnicu Valcea. Faurecia Automotive Seating produces car parts in Romania for Peugeot and Audi, especially for the A4 model.
In 2015, the group recorded total sales of EUR 20.7 billion and a number of 103,000 employees in 34 countries. The group has 330 factories and 30 research and development centers.
