French Post's subsidiary DPD Romania wants 25% increase in parcel services sales

Parcel services company Dynamic Parcel Distribution Romania grew its turnover by 28 percent in the first quarter of the year, reaching around EUR 2 million. DPD Romania, majority owned by the GeoPost, a subsidiary of the French Post, reported sales of EUR 7 million in Romania last year. Its market share in the country was of 6 percent, according to the company.

The company plans to increase its turnover by 25 percent this year and will allot EUR 500,000 to investments in increasing logistics capacities, automatizing and implementing new services. DPD is active in Romania since 2008, through the takeover of Pegasus, which was set up in 1997 in Romania. GeoPost Yurtici Kargo took over the majority share package in Pegasus in 2008 and changed its name to DPD Romania.
