Gallup poll shows one third of Romanians would migrate if given the opportunity
Nearly one third of Romanians would leave their country permanently if they had the opportunity, while Britons are the most eager Europeans to leave their country, with 33 percent, according to a Gallup survey.
The most eager to leave their country in the next 12 months are Spaniards (15 percent), Portuguese (14 percent), Hungarians and Luxembourgers (13 percent), Bulgarians and Lithuanians (12 percent).
The survey is based on interviews with approximately 1,000 adults, aged 15 and older, and was conducted between May and August 2010 in EU member countries. The error margin ranges between 3.5 and 4 percentage points.
