GED buys into Infopress group with EUR 12 mln

Investment company GED has taken over the majority share package in printing group Infopress Group SA, in a deal worth EUR 12 million, Biris Goran law firm has announced. GED took over 92 percent of Infopress Group, with the deal expected to be finalized in the second half of this year, pending Competition Council approval. Christian Mindru and Catalin Oroviceanu of Biris Goran have assisted Infopress in the deal. GED was represented by Madalina Paisa and Serban Suchea of Vilau & Mitel law firm. Infopress Group is a new structure created in September 2007 and is the largest company of the Icelandic group Kvos. The Infopress Group includes Infopress in Odorheiu Secuiesc, Romania and Infopress Hungary. In 2006, Kvos acquired Infopress Romania and in 2008 the greenfield operation in Hungary started producing. Infopress is headed by Geza Petroczki.

GED already owns share packages in several Romanian companies such as Happy Tour, RED real estate developer, Rosegur security services firm, among others.

GED is an independent private equity group operating in the Iberian Peninsula and Southeast Europe. GED is positioned in the middle market, managing funds in excess of EUR 350 million through four different private equity vehicles and operates in two different private equity sectors: private equity and private equity real estate.
