German Astaro takes over local IT security firm Cososys

German IT security company company Astaro has taken over Cluj – based firm Cososys, which specializes in software to prevent electronic data theft.   The German buyer took over the shares in the Romanian firm from its founder, German Roman Foeckl, according to Ziarul Financiar, quoting data in the Official Gazette.

Cososys was created in 2004 and posted a profit of EUR 73,000 in 2009, while its turnover stood at EUR 581,000. The Romanian market generates less than 10 percent of the company's business.
