German car marks in top three places on Romanian premium used car market

German car manufacturing company BMW leads the second-hand premium brand Romanian used car market. In the first months of this year, 4,812 BMWs were put up for sale, the most expensive was 730 model that cost almost EUR 90,000, according to auto.ro.
Second place is occupied by Audi - 3,926 cars up for sale with the Audi R8 the most expensive model at a prices up to EUR 75,000. The final place on the premium podium is occupied by Mercedes with 3,110 cars for sale. However, the Mercedes Benz is the most expensive mark on the Romanian second-hand car market. The Mercedes S500 model sells for around EUR 115,000.
Romania had the largest increase of new passenger car registrations in the European Union in January 2012, up 86.4 percent, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (ACEA). Over 4,900 cars were registered in Romania in January 2012, compared to some 2,600 units posted in the same month of 2011.
