German chain Top International Hotels enters Romania
The hotel Golden Tulip, located in the Black Sea resort Mamaia, changed its name to Zenith-Top Country Line-Conference & Spa Hotel, after having joined the German hotel chain Top International Hotels in January this year.
In 2008, the investment fund Reconstruction Capital II Limited (RC2) bought a 63% stake in the company that owned the hotel for EUR 8 million. The hotel has functioned under the Golden Tulip ever since.
The franchise contract expired in December last year, and the hotel owners decided to rebrand it, reports local Profit.ro. In January, it has joined the German chain Top International Hotels. The hotel will not change its profile, only the name and the affiliation to another hotel group.
Top International Hotels includes over 400 hotels of 3-5 stars in Europe.
