German citizen dies after falling from 15th floor of a hotel in downtown Bucharest

A 46-year old German citizen died on Monday, November 30, after falling from the 15th floor of the Intercontinental hotel in downtown Bucharest, according to Agerpres newswire.

The police were alerted around noon and went to the hotel to investigate the circumstances of the man’s death.

The German checked into the hotel on Saturday, November 28. He was staying alone and his room was found locked from the inside, according to the Bucharest Police’s spokesman Bogdan Ghebaur, quoted by Agerpres. The evidence thus point to a suicide.

The Police also informed Germany’s Embassy about this case. The man’s identity wasn’t made public.
