German company Huf to build a factory in Arad, Romania

German car lock systems producer Huf will build a factory in Arad, Romania, where it will move the production of the three rented units in the same city, according to the company's director of communications, Ute Hoppe, quoted by Mediafax newswire. Huf's representatives didn't provide details on the value of investment, but the factory will be built on an area of ​​11,000 sqm.

“Currently, we operate three rented production units in Arad. The fact that we are doing stable business in Romania made us decide to build a factory, and at the end of next year we will move all equipment in the new production unit”, said Ute Hoppe.

Huf produces in Romania mechanical and electrical closing systems, keys, handles and steering locks for Dacia, Porsche, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, MAN and Volvo.

The German group has about 4800 employees in production units in 16 countries.
