German group Porsche opens auto software center in Cluj-Napoca
Porsche Engineering Romania, a local subsidiary of German group Porsche, will open a software development center in Cluj-Napoca.
The center will have 25 employees by the end of this year and will produce software for the auto industry, according to Ziarul Financiar.
“The engineers in Cluj are pushing the digitalization of the vehicle forward and develop solutions for tomorrow’s mobility,” Porsche Engineering’s president Malte Redmann, said in a press release.
Porsche Engineering has its headquarters in Weissach, Germany, and has seven other centers in Germany, Italy, Czech Republic, China, and Romania. The company has about 1,000 staff, over 70% of whom are engineers.
German group Porsche also owns an IT and process management consultancy firm in Cluj-Napoca, which is called MHP Consulting Romania.
