GIR Industrial Group lands EUR 17 mln telecom contract with Romanian Lottery

GIR Industrial Group, a Romanian company with a turnover of EUR 6.2 million in 2009, will provide installation of communications equipment services for the Romanian Lottery (Loteria Romana National Company CNLR), in the next four years. The value of the contract reaches EUR 17 million, with VAT.

In 2009, GIR and the Romanian Post (Posta Romana) also signed a four-year contract worth EUR 32.1 million for the provision of telecommunications services, data and voice.

The Industrial Group’s shareholders are Vlad Constantinescu, 32, with 11 percent of the shares, Cristian Calinescu, 52, with 30.57 percent, Alexander Paul Cirstea, with 14 percent, Marianna Simona Sarbu, 3.43 percent, Ovidiu Prisecari, 20.5 percent, and Georgeta Constantinescu, with 20.5 percent. In 2009, GIR reported a turnover of EUR 6.2 million, down 21.1 percent on the year, while the gross profit decreased by 15.1 percent compared to 2008.
