GM: Domo will keep some stores in Romania, focus on online

23 November 2015

Local electro-IT retailer Domo is in the process of restructuring its activity and will focus on keeping some traditional stores and its online operations, said the company’s new general manager Thomas Klein.

“During this process, the management made difficult decisions, which were determined by the unfavorable market conditions as well as unjustified and constant controls from state institutions,” Klein added.

After taking over the office from the former general director Kim Koellner, Klein said that his target was to maintain the Domo brand and assure the online distribution.

Domo currently has a network of 75 traditional stores. Its competitors Flanco and Altex announced last week that they were interested in taking over some Domo stores. Each of them planned to acquire over ten Domo units, according to market sources.
