Google Play Music launches in Romania

Google Play Music, the music streaming service and online music locker operated by Google, recently launched in Romania, three years after the service was first announced.

Google Play Music allows users to upload and listen to up to 20,000 songs free of charge, and acquire songs and albums which they can store in the cloud. The new service stirs competition with local popular options such as Zonga or Deezer.

Google Play Music is free of charge in the first month, then the monthly subscription is of RON 24 (some EUR 5.4) a month, a promotional price valid until January 7, 2015. After that, the monthly charge is of RON 29 - or EUR 6.5, according to Google Romania.

To use Google Play Music, go to play.google.com, and choose the Music option, where prices are displayed in RON for those accessing the site from Romania.
