Government to help patent Romanian inventions abroad
Romania’s Government has created a fund to support patenting Romanian inventions abroad, according to a memorandum approved on July 13.
The fund will not exceed EUR 200,000 per year, non-reimbursable.
Those who can benefit from this help include Romanians with low incomes and small and medium-sized companies that have applied for a patent at the Romanian State Office for Inventions and Trademarks (OSIM). The aid will support the transfer of Romanian technology abroad by increasing the number of patent applications, according to the memorandum.
Romania ranks 48th in the world and last in the EU for innovation.
