Groundbreaking Romanian band Butterflies in My Stomach perform in Bucharest next week
Romanian band Butterflies in My Stomach will be playing their own brand of nu-jazz, acid-jazz and funk in Bucharest on February 29, 23:00. The gig is at Club A (14, Blanari St.) in the capital city.
Butterflies in My Stomach (BiMS) were founded in spring 2005. The BBC reported on the band as one of the few playing acid jazz in Romania (‘Romanian Underground ‘ – BBC – 20.12.2005). In late August 2006, BiMS were selected among the best three new bands in the world, in the Electronic section, following a competition initiated by the Sony label and Billboard publication.
In their music, the band combines sounds of funk, nu-jazz, electro, trip-hop, and even chill. Listen to one of their songs below.
Tickets for this gig cost RON 10, on the door.
